Learning in Third Grade
In third grade, students learn about countries and people from around the world, learn to fluently multiply and divide, explore fractions in math, and write multi-page essays and books about themselves, others, and information they’ve learned. It’s an exciting year to watch them blossom as readers of chapter books, begin to read literary texts from long ago and now, and study the adaptations of animals in the world as scientists.
