Our Mission

PS19 East Village Community School children, families and educators are committed to learning through an inclusive, academically rigorous, culturally responsive and arts-rich curriculum.  Our students explore their world while building upon their unique strengths, interests, and learning styles. 

We provide a nurturing environment where all children and all families are valued, welcomed, cared for and supported.  Diversity, equity and inclusion are prioritized in all aspects of school life.  We believe social emotional wellness and joy of learning are essential to and necessary for success at school.  

Our goal is for PS19 EVCS graduates to be confident and kind, academically prepared, and ready to contribute towards positive social change in the community and world around them.
