Learning in Fourth Grade
In fourth grade, students learn about New York State and American history (including the American Revolution), deepen their understanding of fractions and decimals in math, and write multi-page essays and books about themselves, others, and information they’ve learned. It’s an exciting year to watch them continue to grow as readers of chapter books, poets, and study animal defense mechanisms in science.
