Learning in Fifth Grade

In fifth grade, students learn about the biodiversity of our world, deepen their understanding of how numbers work in real-world contexts, and continue to explore fractions and decimals.  They will write literary essays and informational reports to share information they’ve learned.  It’s an exciting year to watch them continue to grow as readers of and study stories of human rights and leaders of social change.
